Something Old, Something New

As (truly) thrilling as it is to repeatedly indulge in the guilty pleasures of Puccini, Verdi, and the like--we would be remiss to not do our part in generating excitement for *new* works gracing the better houses around the country and, presumably, the world this season. So keep an eye out for our new list of links to the appetite whetting websites for some of these pieces. A couple good ones I have come across are the site for John Adams' Doctor Atomic which enjoyed its world premiere in San Francisco to largely excellent reviews (including this one from the NY Times' Anthony Tommasini) earlier this season. Also worth taking a look at is the website for the upcoming Met Premiere of Tobias Picker's An American Tragedy. Anyway, none of this is new information, but won't it be lovely to have it all in one place?
