Yeah I saw her Katya at the Met whenever it was and her mix of sweet lyricism and batshit insanity is the best way to make sense of the character.

Oh My God - I am in heat. I've only seen her Jenufa, but I am going in 2 weeks to see her Tatiyana, and I canNOT wait to see this next season!!!! Thanks for the heads up, even if it was a PDF.
P.S. Happy Birthday, Felix Mendelssohn. Awesome organ recital tonight at Little Church Around the Corner, 29/5th, of Mendelssohn organ music! Who said fugues died with Beethoven? Mendelssohn wrote some kick-ass fugues.
(Note to self, try and use "kick-ass fugues" in one sentence per day.)
We haven't heard her in Kat'a in London, but her performances of Jenufa were staggering. What a masterpiece!
